Participants received tips and instructions during clinics on the various field & track events by Coach Glenroy Hodge, adult and teen volunteers before competing in the: Softball Throw, Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump, Triple Jump, 60m, 100m, 200m 400m and 1600m.
All participants received certificates of participation and ribbons for earning 1st place in their age group. Four of the participants are eligible to move on to the Georgia Track & Field State Games on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 2014 in Augusta, GA.

From there they may be selected to the regional team to compete in the North American Final in Hershey, Pennsylvania from July 31 through August 3, 2014. We wish them the best of luck!
Cornerstone Track & Athletic Association, Inc. is especially thankful to the Youth Alliance for Leadership and Life, Inc. for organizing the teen volunteers who collectively earned 49.5 hours in commemoration of the 2014 Global Youth Service Day. Teens received a letter verifying their community service hours for work they provided in the following capacities:
Gathering and setting-up equipment Assist in demonstrating track & field events
Distributed refreshments Assist in managing and running events
Tearing down and returning equipment Manage the registration/sign-in table
Assist in organizing participants Assist in timing and measuring
Distribute Hand-outs and Awards Site Clean-up
